This Festive Crochet Creations course is designed for learners who already have some crochet experience and would like to develop their skills while creating seasonal projects. It combines practical techniques with creative design, helping you produce a range of handmade festive decorations.
Throughout the course, you will practise and refine your crochet stitches using a variety of yarns and wools, learning how different materials affect the look and texture of your work. You will create a selection of holiday-themed items, such as Christmas trees, wreaths, angels, and scaled snowflakes, allowing you to build confidence while working on enjoyable, decorative projects.
The course also focuses on developing your ability to read and follow crochet patterns from different countries. You will learn how to convert between metric, US, and UK hook sizes, as well as understand the differences between English and American stitch terminology. This will enable you to confidently use a wide range of patterns and expand your creative possibilities.
By the end of the course, learners will have improved their crochet skills, gained experience with festive designs, and developed the confidence to create their own seasonal decorations.
What you need to bring:
A drink – water or juice, notebook and pen, crochet hooks size either 4-4.5 or 5 and different colours and types of yarn/wool.
