What will be covered on the course? What will be taught to learners?
How to do a variety of Granny Squares, from the Basic granny square to Antique Vintage squares, to oblong & circle shapes, to pattern showing swirls, spirals and round granny squares using a crochet hook and yarn, and history behind the name of Crochet Granny Squares covered. Understand the different terminology used for English and American Crochet stitches and the Crochet Hook Size Conversion for Metric, US & UK. A combination of granny squares created in different shapes and styles. Learners must have some skills in performing crochet stitches, this is not a beginners course.
To help learners gain an insight into the different designs you can produce from forming some basic stitches, you will learn how to produce your own creations. The history behind the name of Crochet Granny Squares. Learners will work towards creating a variety of crochet stitches using a crochet hook and yarn/wools. Understand the different terminology used for English and American Crochet stitches and the Crochet Hook Size Conversion for Metric, US & UK. A combination of granny squares will be created in different shapes and styles every week, from the Basic granny square to Antique Vintage squares, to oblong & circle shapes, to pattern showing swirls, spirals and round granny squares.
By the end of the course learners will show secure knowledge of how to perform a variety of stitches in different shapes and styles. As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.
