About this course

A great course for learning how to make sugar fondant cake toppers for cupcakes and be introduced to basic piping techniques to create your own designs.

What will be covered on the course?

During the course we will cover:

Equipment needed to decorate cupcakes
How to make cupcakes and the best cases to use
Experiment with a range of cutters and plungers
Designing your own cake toppers
Packaging and costing cupcakes to sell

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

By the end of the course your will be able to:
Design and produce a cake toppers using fondant
Make and pipe butter cream decorations
Produce a box of decorated cupcakes

What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course?

This is a great course for beginners who want to develop their skills or a hobby baker looking for new ideas.

Please bring a packet of white fondant icing, a small nonstick board, rolling pin and a packet of readymade fairy cakes to each session. Buttercream will be covered week 2. Cutters and plungers will be available to use.
