This course is a beginner guide to cupcake decorating. You will learn skills and techniques using fondant icing to produce a selection of themed cupcake toppers.
A great course for learning how to make sugar fondant cake toppers for cupcakes and to be introduced to basic piping techniques to create your own designs.
During the course, we will cover the essential equipment needed to decorate cupcakes, how to bake them and choose the best cases, how to use cake decorating tools, experiment with a variety of cutters and plungers, design your own unique cake toppers, and explore effective ways to package and cost cupcakes for sale.
What you will need to bring to the course:
Please bring a packet of white fondant icing, a small nonstick board, and a rolling pin to the first session.
For week 2 – a packet of readymade fairy cakes and buttercream will be needed.
Cutters, plungers, and piping nozzles will be available to use.
