Do you shudder at the thought of division? Maybe it's a topic you never liked. Maybe just the word makes you feel nervous. Maybe you just don't see the point.
Come along and work together with your tutor and others who feel the same as you do about division, to discover that it isn’t so scary after all.
We will use a variety of activities to boost your confidence and help you take the first step towards that fist-pumping "I get it now!" feeling. We promise not to put you on the spot or give you any tests and you will be able to work at your own pace in a supportive environment with an experienced tutor who understands that maths can cause anxiety and stress.
This is part of a three-part course - you can come along to one, two or all three of the sessions. Search for "Fractions... but less scary" and "Statistics... but less scary" if you want to book onto all three. Alternatively, just come along to one session and see how you find it. We'd love to see you there.
This course is for people who don’t have a level 2 qualification in maths (GCSE C/4 or above). You will self-declare this on the enrolment form.
To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:
You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking. If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
