This course is a beginner’s guide to decorating cupcakes with a selection of easter themed decorations. You will learn skills and techniques using some cutters and some free style modeling, including a rabbit down a hole showing feet and tail with carrots, and a sheep head topper. You will also learn how to make daffodils, calla lilies, and a fondant easter egg. No previous experience is required.
You will learn about how you can use these techniques creatively, by looking at and discussing various books and websites who influences and motivates.
By the end of the course everyone will have explored and gained confidence in a range of creative techniques, you will produce a beautiful selection of Easter cupcake toppers to share with family and friends over the Easter holidays. The cupcakes can be created to celebrate any Easter Celebration or Spring occasion. Skills and techniques can be applied to larger cakes.
What you will need to bring to the course:
Cupcakes, buttercream piping nozzle of choice and bag (optional)
Fondant Icing or modelling paste.
Sugar florist paste.
Colours white, pink, orange, yellow, black, green any colours for the fondant egg
Board
Rolling pin
Corn flour
Ball tool
Dresden tool
Cell pad
Drying foam
Edible glue
Cocktail stick
Heart cutter
Sugar and yellow edible dust
Daffodil cutter
Small piping nozzle
Marshmallows
Note pad and pen.
Apron and suitable container to carry home in.

Residency in England

Residency Eligibility – other criteria
If you are living in the UK on a visa we will require evidence of this in order to be funded for the course, you can upload this evidence when you apply for the course. (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
Some exceptions may apply for example
Your visa expiry date must be beyond the end of your course
Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is being considered by the Home Office
You are receiving local authority support under section 23C or section 23CA of the Children Act 1989 or the Care Act 2014
Any learner who is not funded, full cost fees would apply to these courses.
