This course aims to improve your English skills and your confidence in using these. This course is designed for speakers of other languages who want to improve their English and gain a qualification.
Our experienced staff will help you to improve your reading, writing and speaking and listening.
You will start by doing an initial assessment, in order to decide with your tutor which level you will be working at from Entry level 1 to Entry Level 3. You will be assessed near the end of the course on these three elements and once you have completed these you will achieve a City and Guilds ESOL qualification.
This course runs for 37 weeks and requires you attend 2 lessons a week, one in the library and the other online on Zoom with your tutor. You will need to attend both sessions each week.
Please make sure that you can attend the lesson each week before enrolling on the course.
You will require access to a laptop or PC with internet access on which group Zoom classes will be delivered by your tutor. If you may need support with this please contact Ask@inspireculture.org.uk or call 01623 677 200
All resources that you need will be supplied by the tutor, but you may wish to have your own notebook to work in too.
To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:
You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking. If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
