This course will introduce you to the art of creating decorative felt flowers and foliage. You will learn how to use tools and materials, create and adapt templates, and make a variety of flowers and leaves. Throughout the course, you will build your skills step by step, working towards designing and creating a seasonal felt wreath to display in your home.
This course is suitable for beginners and those wishing to develop existing craft skills. You will learn about the tools and materials used in felt flower making, including felt, floral wire, floral tape, and adhesive techniques. You will explore how templates can be used to create consistent shapes and will have opportunities to adapt and create your own designs.
During the course, learners will create a range of flowers and foliage, developing skills in shaping, assembling, and finishing decorative felt pieces. Techniques for adding texture, form, and colour variation will also be explored. As confidence grows, learners will combine individual flowers and leaves into larger arrangements and decorative projects.
Learning will take place through tutor demonstrations, practical activities, group discussion, and individual support. By the end of the course, learners will have completed a seasonal felt wreath and gained the confidence to continue creating felt flowers independently.

Fabric Scissors
Low-temperature glue gun and glue sticks (where possible)
Pliers and wire cutters
Wool-blend felt fabric (craft felt intended for children's projects is not recommended)
