About this course

About this course

This is a complete beginners’ French course which aims to improve confidence and enjoyment when using and speaking French.

Welcoming anyone who wants to practice for travel, work or leisure or simply marvel in the beauty of the language.

The content of the course comprises the four main language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Topic focus will range from basic language (numbers, days of the week, etc.) to everyday, functional language (ordering in a restaurant, reading road signs etc.)

By the end of the course, most learners will be able to read a short piece of French text, introduce themselves in French, understand someone else introducing themselves and write a short piece of text in French.

Learners need to bring a pen and paper to each lesson.

There will be no session during May half term
