What are the aims of the course?

Enjoy your time with Geometry now. The course is encouraging your creativity and small world play. You will discover that you can produce your best DIY origami and geometric toys.  Throughout the course, you will come across various mathematical aspects which can help promote your wellbeing and social skills. Both the Maths and social skills will benefit your brain and mind. You will have a great time during the session. Let’s do it together!


What will be covered on the course?

The course will cover with the following content:

•Using origami to teach geometry. You will know that most origami patterns require symmetrical work and measurement as well as knowing about fractions & proportions.

•By understanding the names and the shapes of different geometry, you can make different pretty and lovely 2D and 3D origami pieces/units.

•Attempting to create the origami, you will extend your Maths skills and promote your fine-motor and eye-coordinator skills. 


What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

Upon the completion of the course, you will be able to:

•Identify different geometric shape names and understand more about measurement, symmetry, fractions and proportions.

•Recognise and name 2D and 3D shapes. Describe them with their faces (sides), edges and vertices.

•Create and produce various interesting origami pieces and geometric toys or decorations


This course is for people who don't have a level 2 qualification in Maths (GCSE C/4 or above). You will self -declare this on the enrolment form.


Please bring pen, pencil, and a calculator with you if you can.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking.  If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
