About this course

Do you have a child in Years 3-6 or who will be starting Year 3 in September?

Do you want to support them with school/homework?

This course aims to enable you to confidently support your child’s development of maths.

Working alongside your child, you’ll have the opportunity to find out about the different areas of today’s maths curriculum. Each area will be broken down into easy-to-understand steps and everyone can work at a level relevant to their ability. Children will have the chance to shine as they demonstrate just how much they already know as well as finding out what they will be moving onto during the rest of their time in primary school.

This course is perfect for anyone who has ever thought “What on earth do they DO in maths these days?” By the end of the course, you’ll have a good understanding of all the different areas of primary school maths and how they are used in problem solving. We’ll also give you lots of hints and tips for making maths practical and fun.

Each adult can bring up to two children, currently in Years 2-6, with them.

This course is for people who don’t have a level 2 qualification in maths (GCSE C/4 or above). You will self-declare this on the enrolment form.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
