About this course

About this course

Students will use a spreadsheet to enter, edit and organise numerical and other data, use appropriate formulas and tools to summarise and display spreadsheet information and select and use appropriate tools and techniques to present spreadsheet information effectively.

If you have not studied Excel before there is an ‘Introduction to Excel’ course, you may want to attend first to give you some basic skills in the programme.

This course is designed for learners who wish to know how to use a spreadsheet to enter, edit and organise numerical and other data.

This is a beginner’s short course learning how to start using basic spreadsheets within the Microsoft programme of Excel.

This is suitable for Learners that have not really used the programme but want to have a basic knowledge of Excel.

Learners should bring a notepad and a pen.

Students will learn how to navigate the Excel work area and create a small basic spreadsheet from scratch. Other skills that may be covered are entering text and numbers, using fonts, colours, borders, and basic formatting options. This is a good first step into using this programme
