Meet Enid Bakewell at Kirkby Library on Monday 10th January at 2pm to hear about her illustrious cricketing career. Enid is widely regarded as the best all-rounder that the English women’s game has produced.

Francis Bailey

Come along to meet Francis on Tuesday 8th February at 2pm to hear him talk about his memoirs of the unusual farming world of the Baileys and their contract with the mighty Kelloggs company which led to the family fortune. The story dates from the 1940’s onwards, they are a family that clearly enjoyed life, and their stories will make you smile a lot.
