This course will explore Art in relation to Mindfulness. You will explore works, and create work inspired by emotions, ideas, and mindfully look at the world around you. The works you produce will be experimental, with guidance from the tutor to incorporate some artistic techniques.
What will be covered on the course?
Week 1: Mark Making and emotions
Week 2: Colours and Feelings
Week 3: Still Life – A Mindful Look into objects
Week 4: Portraits – Expressions and Emotions
Week 5: Seascapes and Nature – expressive simple composition
Week 6: Landscapes and Nature – expressive simple composition
By the end of this course, you will have:
Spent time enhancing your wellbeing
Met others who are interested in Art and Mindfulness.
Experimented with simple art techniques
Created art inspired by the world and emotions.
No previous knowledge or skills are required for this course, it is suitable for absolute beginners and those who are new to the concept of Mindful Art. "

Drawing paper, to create a journal
Hole punch

Watercolour paints and paper

Residency in England
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must be living in England permanently and live outside of the devolved areas listed below or live within the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) devolved area (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire).

Residency Eligibility – other criteria
If you are living in the UK on a visa we will require evidence of this in order to be funded for the course, you can upload this evidence when you apply for the course. (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
Some exceptions may apply for example
Your visa expiry date must be beyond the end of your course
Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is being considered by the Home Office
You are receiving local authority support under section 23C or section 23CA of the Children Act 1989 or the Care Act 2014
Any learner who is not funded full cost fees would apply to these courses.
