About this course

In this two hour face-to-face course you will become more confident in using the internet to search for information and recognising secure websites.  Laptops will be provided during the session.  This is a very basic course for beginners.

By the end of this course you will be able to:     

• Complete different types of searches
• Know how to refine a search
• Understand the reliability of searches
• Considerations when using the internet

Who is it suitable for?

• This is a beginner’s course for Learners +19 who are new to computer and webpage searches and want to learn more.

• During this 3-week face-to-face course, you will become more confident in using the internet to search for information, set-up an email account and learn about video conferencing.

Learn key computer skills (emails, the internet and e-safety)

• This 3-week course is aimed at computer beginners to enable them to develop the key digital skills they need to access the online world.

What employment could this course led to?

• By improving your digital skills, you could unlock new job opportunities and boost your confidence in using digital devices.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

• Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
• Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking.  If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
