About this course

This course is an awareness course around Cancer and Health: Ovarian Cancer Awareness.  

During the month of March ovarian cancer is a focus, it is important to raise awareness in our local communities. Voices are heard, funds are raised, and awareness is made to encourage change for early diagnosis, sharing stories research and support. 

This is an awareness course only. If you think you might have a problem with your ovaries, talk to your G.P. 

Two thirds of those with ovarian cancer are diagnosed too late, the cancer has already spread.  

• Only 1 in 5 women know that bloating is a symptom of ovarian cancer  
• Only 1 in 100 women know that needing to wee more often is a symptom  
• 4 in 10 women wrongly believe that cervical screening detects ovarian cancer  

You will learn about the symptoms, the causes, treatment and help and support.

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course.  Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
