About this course

About this course

This course will introduce you to paper crafts so that you can develop your own creative ideas and include embellishments in your own papercraft projects. The course will include paper projects such as making fringed flowers; a quilled heart, butterflies, goldfish, frog, and festive decoration; and a ‘pop-up’ greeting card.

Through attending this course, you:

- Will make quilling shapes from thin strips of paper including coils and scrolls,

- Will know the correct name for these shapes,

- Will practice combining them to make pictures including a heart, flowers, goldfish frog and butterflies.

- Will make flowers using the fringing method.

- Will make a Greeting Card which has a 3D element which ‘pops up’.

- Will know five facts about the history of quilling and pop-ups.

Materials and tools will be available for use in the sessions.   Learners will be told how to obtain their own materials and tools for use after the course.
