About this course

This short course 4-week course is about enjoying learning about your smart phone camera and using your camera. It is designed to be a fun light hearted day whilst creating some great photographs using inexpensive small projects. This course assumes learners have no previous experience of photography.

What will be covered on the course?

Smart phone cameras and exploring the settings.
Exploration of shutter speed, depth of field, and ISO to improve your photography skills.
How to use and upload images to Padlet.
Photography using coloured lights and filters.
Use of recycled materials to make creative filters.
Exploring; oil and water photography.
Splash photography.
Creative fruit and veg.
Water droplet photography.
Photographing movement.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

Learners will be able to use their camera to photograph small creative projects which they can reproduce at home using simple ingredients and household equipment.
Learners will have a range of photographs from which they can choose their favourite to be displayed in our virtual display space.

What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course?

No previous knowledge required.

You will need:

A smartphone with a camera or a camera.
A tripod if you have one or want to bring it.
