About this course

This course aims to teach learners a range of bagmaking techniques. Using these techniques students will make a selection of different bags and purses. This course is suitable for beginners and for those with some sewing skills they wish to revive of build upon

What will be covered on the course? What will be taught to learners?

On this course students will learn a range of techniques around bagmaking. Students will learn how to line a bag, add a zip, make strong handles and insert various styles of pockets. Students will also learn different ways to add depth and shape to bags.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

Explain how to line a bag with different methods
Demonstrate how to add at least 2 types of pocket into a bag
Produce a sample of a zip top closure
Discover at least 2 different ways to add depth and shaping to a bag
