About this course

Suitable for beginners, this short course will guide you through creating some lovely Spring Crafts. In these two sessions we will use felt to create unique decorations that you can use to decorate your home.

Within the course you will be taught:

• different methods to construct and assemble the decorations

• decorative techniques for embellishment

• simple hand sewing techniques

By the end of the course learners will have gained an understanding of:

• how to create and assemble different designs from felt 

• using buttons, beads and stitches to create design elements

• basic sewing skills

Learners should bring:

• a choice of coloured felt pieces (white, green, pink, yellow, red, orange would be useful Spring colours)

• any seed beads & small beads

• a variety of sequins & buttons

• thin ribbon or ricrac

• a pair of small or medium sized fabric scissors

• a basic sewing kit with a needle and pins

• dressmakers’ thread (to match felt being used)

• some embroidery thread/silks would be useful (in colours similar to the felt being used)

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
