Understanding Mental Health Level 3 Certificate - Online Courses - Adult Learning

This Level 3 course offers an exploration of mental health and well-being, designed to support those interested in working in health and social care or developing a deeper understanding of the subject.

You’ll examine how attitudes towards mental health have changed over time, exploring key legislation, services and the wider social context. The course also looks at how mental well-being can be supported across different stages of life, alongside an in-depth study of mental ill health, its impact, and the range of treatment options available.

Structured around five core units, the qualification provides both breadth and depth, covering topics such as the promotion of well-being, the causes and consequences of mental health conditions, and the skills needed to work effectively in mental health settings. Along the way, you’ll develop a strong understanding of real-world practice and the challenges faced within the sector.

Assessment is carried out internally through regular coursework, allowing you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding as you progress. The course is suitable for learners aged 19+ and, while no prior qualifications are required, it is particularly suitable to those who have previously achieved the level 2 certificate in Mental Health Awareness.
