About this course

Learners will use free computer software (GIMP) to make changes to improve and enhance their digital photos. This will include creating new artwork from multiple photos.

What will be covered on the course?

Selective recolourisation
Using masks for selection, blending images and other creative techniques
Photo-composites, using layers and masks

NOTE: this is not a photography course, we will not be taking any photographs

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

Learners will be familiar with GIMP software and will be able to it to produce creative artwork from photographs.

What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course?

Users will need basic knowledge of windows computers (run software applications, load and save files)
