Employability Skills (Level 1)

Our Employability Skills qualifications are designed to support you in successfully gaining a job, progressing in a chosen field, preparing for further study and supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

What will we cover?

There are three units within this qualification covering:

  • Progression skills
  • Target setting
  • Problem solving
  • Workplace environments
  • Applying for jobs
  • Creating CVs
  • Mock interviews

Who is the course for?

Employability Skills are for anyone who wants to:

  • Live a more independent life
  • Progress in education and/or your employment prospects
  • Get into a job
  • Develop on the job
  • Move on to the next job

How can I progress after completing the course?

Upon completion of this course you could progress to our Level 2 Award or Certificate in Employability Skills. We also have a wide range of vocational options at Level 1 and 2 including Functional Skills Maths,  Functional Skills English, and Essential Digital Skills Qualification.

Course costs

The cost of this course is FREE/£117.00.

1)  Free - if you earn less than £20,319 or are on a means-tested benefit.

2) Payment help available - if you earn more than £20,319 but are on a low-income, we might be able to help pay part or all of your course fees. Email: learning@inspireculture.org.uk for an application form or if you have any questions.

3) Co-funded - if you are on a higher-income, the government will pay approximately half of your course fees.
