Mental Health Awareness Award - Level 1

Our Mental Health Awareness Level 1 Award is delivered for your convenience at local libraries or online and aims to raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health difficulties, developing your knowledge of the rights of those with mental health issues.

What will we cover?

This qualification aims to raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health difficulties, dispel some of the myths and misconceptions frequently linked to mental health, and develop your knowledge of the rights of those with mental health difficulties. 

Who is the course aimed at?

The course is appropriate for a wide range of people, including those who have an interest in increasing their own understanding of mental health issues. It would complement study in other areas such as citizenship, PSHE, healthcare, social care, counselling or public service. It may be particularly useful for those wanting to work in the voluntary and community sector and for those whose role calls for interaction with the public. 

Course cost

The cost of this course is free/£54.00.

1)  Free - if you earn less than £20,319 or are on a means-tested benefit.

2) Payment help available - if you earn more than £20,319 but are on a low-income, we might be able to help pay part or all of your course fees. Email: learning@inspireculture.org.uk for an application form or if you have any questions.

3) Co-funded - if you are on a higher-income, the government will pay approximately half of your course fees.
