Sailors Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Jules Munshin have a 24-hour shore leave to see the sights. Based on the Broadway hit and featuring songs like New York, New York, On the Town changed the landscape of movie musicals. The Bronx is up and the Battery's down, but no one can be down after going On the Town.
This relaxed screening is particularly suitable for people living with dementia and memory challenges, their family and friends but anyone is welcome. Please feel free to talk, sing and move during the screening.
Doors will open 15 minutes before the screening and there will be a 20 minute interval. We will be sensitive to the audience when it comes to lighting and volume. A quiet space for anyone needing a brief break from the film will be available in the main library. Access to the meeting room is via stairs or a lift from the ground floor.
If you have any additional requirements or questions before booking please contact ask@inspireculture.org.uk
