Old photographs give us a fascinating glimpse of people and places in the past.
This hands-on workshop with photographer Neil Pledger will inspire you to record the local area as it is now for future generations to see. The 2-hour session will begin at Mansfield Central Library with a look at the Inspire Picture Archive, and Neil’s introduction to photo composition techniques, specifically tailored to architectural and heritage photography. Following this, we will take a walk around some of the key features of Mansfield town centre to practice these skills and learn something of the history all around us.
For ages 16+
Bring your own camera or phone. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the outdoor part of the workshop, taking weather conditions into account.
