Inspire Youth Arts are excited to host a FREE dance workshop for young people aged 10-18, up to 24 for those with disabilities, with Sterran Dance Company
The workshop will be based on the company's new piece of work La Nuova Flora, which is a fusion of Contemporary Dance and Opera with urban & cultural influences, promoting transformative power, change and growth. Challenging perceptions, this new work is an uprising against social expectations, and the roots that ultimately feed, define and restrict us.
Sterran Dance Company will be performing their work as part of a double bill on Tuesday 15 July 2025, 7.30pm at Nottingham Lakeside Arts Theatre.
Treat yourself to a euphoric double bill of dance, bursting with power, energy, and emotion.
La Nuova Flora, with original music by Ni Singh, explores the powerful balance between nature, mythology, and human experience. Through compelling movement and evocative sound, La Nuova Flora boldly challenges social restrictions, embodying the spirit of transformation, renewal & the strength of the new bloom.
The Pearl dives deep into human emotions, weaving storytelling, movement, and song in an electrifying fusion of contemporary and commercial dance theatre.
Inspire Youth Arts have supplemented student tickets to see the show. Tickets cost £5 per student, if a parent or carer would like to book a ticket, these will cost £16.
If you would like to book a place in the workshop and/or a ticket for the show, please get in touch by emailing Hayley at iya@inspireculture.org.uk by end of day, Friday 6 June 2025.
