Every Thursday

Enjoy a friendly, child‑led play session in the library. Explore toys and books in a calm space. It’s a lovely opportunity for little ones to learn through play—and for grown‑ups to meet others in the community.
Suitable for under 5's, free of charge, and no booking required. This will be running weekly following our Thursday Rattle, Rhyme and Roll session.
A selection of toys are put out for children and toddlers to enjoy and it’s a chance to make new friends in a safe and fun environment.

Love Crime fiction? Come along and chat to other readers about the books you love.

Our Rattle, Rhyme and Roll sessions are relaxed, friendly rhyme sessions for babies and toddlers.
They are a chance for you to have fun, share rhymes and songs with your child, and meet other parents.
Sessions last about 30 minutes and are free.

A Jungle Themed Music and Movement Workshop
Join Tina for a fun and interactive movement and percussion session for young children and families, kindly funded by Belly Dance World. Inspired by Julie Lacome's brilliant book Walking Through The Jungle, we'll walk, swing, creep, drum and wiggle our way through the jungle, creating fantastic sounds and rhythms together, exploring sensory props, and meeting some friendly animal puppets along the way.
Suitable for children under 12, and it is also SEN friendly.

Street Dance Workshop

Summer Reading Challenge Crafts
Get creative and let your imagination groove! Inspired by this year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme, Read to the Beat, our children's craft activities will celebrate music, rhythm, stories and self-expression. There’s something for every young maker to enjoy.
