About this course

Come and join us for maths fun with board games. We a hosting the inaugural Multiplay course at Stapleford library for parents and children to enjoy the opportunity to play board games whilst improving their number skills and confidence. 


This 3-hour session will have a selection of board games with a maths focus. The games will showcase the joy of maths ranging from numbers to shape, space and measure. Adults should be accompanied by a child (a max. of 2 children per adult). The games on offer would be suitable for primary-aged children.  


By the end of the course, you will be able to, 

  • name a range of board games you could play with your child at home 
  • confidently playing maths-themed games 
  • identify the maths skills needed for each game

Additional information  


Both parents, and children are expected to participate as the focus of this session is to promote and boost maths skills for adults. A max of 2 children per adult and ONLY the adult is required to complete the enrolment form. 


This course is ideal for people who don’t already have a level 2 qualification in maths (GCSE C/4 or above) or are not confident in using maths at this level.

  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
