This 6-week mindful meditation course is designed to introduce you to the principles and practices of mindfulness. You will develop practical tools to reduce stress, enhance focus and cultivate a deeper sense of well-being.
Through guided meditations, group discussions, and reflective exercises, you will experience mindfulness as a transformative life skills applicable to personal and professional contexts.
This course is also great for a work/home life balance. Come along, destress and learn how to embed these skills into daily life. Learn the definition and principles of mindfulness through exploring the benefits of mindfulness in daily life and participating in a guided practice: body scan meditation. Understand the mind-body connection and learn how to recognise automatic thought patterns.
You will follow a guided practice for mindful breathing and move onto identifying stress triggers and their impacts, completing techniques for responding to stress mindfully. With the aid of a guided practice: loving-kindness meditation; you will cover the basic science behind attention and multitasking.
Complete a guided practice: mindful observation exercise; you will practice empathy and active listening. Understanding responding versus reacting in communication is important. Complete a guided practice: Compassion meditation.
Finishing the course by developing sustainable mindfulness practice. Setting goals for continued growth. Final guided practice: Silent meditation and journaling. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance.
What you will need to bring to the course:
It is advisable to bring a bottle of water to keep you hydrated. Along with pen and paper for notes/journal purposes.

Residency in England
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must be living in England permanently and live outside of the devolved areas listed below or live within the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) devolved area (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire).

Residency Eligibility – other criteria
If you are living in the UK on a visa we will require evidence of this in order to be funded for the course, you can upload this evidence when you apply for the course. (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
Some exceptions may apply for example
Your visa expiry date must be beyond the end of your course
Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is being considered by the Home Office
You are receiving local authority support under section 23C or section 23CA of the Children Act 1989 or the Care Act 2014
Any learner who is not funded full cost fees would apply to these courses.
