About this course
Reflexology, sometimes referred to as “zone therapy,” involves the application of pressure to “reflex” points on the feet, hands, and ears. Reflexologists believe that these particular points are directly connected to glands, organs, and systems of the body. When reflex points are stimulated, then, their corresponding bodily parts get actually receive the benefit, which aids the body in healing itself by helping to clear any channels of blocked energy, increasing circulation, boosting the immune system and clearing the body of toxins to improve overall health and balance.
An Introduction to Hand Reflexology is ideal for anyone who has an interest in Reflexology and wants to learn more about this ancient holistic therapy. No previous experience is needed, and you will be able to use the techniques you learn on family and friends.
• Learn how reflexes in the hands represent anatomical areas on the body and how to work on these reflexes for relaxation and wellbeing.
• Learn about the history and theories behind Reflexology and how you can use it on yourself and others.
• You will learn an introductory routine including how to warm up the hands, techniques including the caterpillar walk, rotations and hooking in technique and a massage and energy work to finish.
This course will include basic anatomy and physiology.
