About this course

Join our fun family learning course aimed at families with babies and children under the age of 5. This practical course will give ideas about how to support your child with music.   Music-making provides an engaging and enjoyable activity for everyone and is led by a friendly and experienced Primary Music Specialist and Jolly Music teacher. 


All the EYMM course sessions are mapped to the Early Learning Goals and the 2020 Development Matters Guidelines. 


What will be covered on the course?   

  • Our six-week curriculum theme is animals and we’ll be telling the musical story of ‘Handa’s Surprise’ too 
  • You’ll learn songs and rhymes both familiar and brand new on our curriculum theme. 
  • Build your own musical confidence in pulse and rhythm. 
  • Explore African instruments. 
  • Use Makaton signs in songs.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course? 

  • A range of strategies and activities for supporting their baby/children with fun and interactive learning.  

Learners can bring a rattle/shaker or simple musical instruments if they prefer. 

  • Blanket to sit on. 
  • Water and a snack for their child and themselves.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
