This course will enable you to acquire the skills necessary to pass the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Music Theory Grade 3 and/or 4 exams. Knowledge of Grade 1 & 2 Music Theory are a requirement (see Music Theory for Beginners Course if you do not hold this).
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Be able to notate pitches and rhythms to ABRSM Music Theory Grade 3 & 4 level
- Identify and employ time and key structures to ABRSM Music Theory Grade 3 & 4 level
- Recognise and emply scale construction theory at ABRSM Music Theory Grade 3 & 4 level
- Recognise and emply beaming theory at ABRSM Music Theory Grade 3 & 4 level
- Recognise simple dynamic and direction terms employed at ABRSM Music Theory Grade 3 & 4 level
- Complete ABRSM Music Theory Grade 3 & 4 level sample papers to a Pass standard or above
ABRSM Music Theory Sample Papers 2020 (for new format Music Theory Exams) for appropriate grade. As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
