Our Learning Partners

Inspire Learning provides Community Learning Courses directly to the public and we work with other providers, our learning partners, to help us to deliver our services to you.

Our learning partners include large and small organisations from the voluntary, community and Further Education sectors.

Working with partners means we can provide more learning opportunities to more people across more locations and communities, so that everyone gets the chance to take part. Take a look at their websites to search for courses near you.

  • All our courses are enjoyable, learning in a relaxed, fun, non-judgemental and practical way…… plus free gifts every week! And a reward at the end of the course for full attendance.
  • Creche available if needed.
  •  Feel Good Families – (8 weeks x 2.5 hours) parenting skills for adults only. Find out the 10 secrets of successful and enjoyable parenting. Help your children make healthy choices about how they behave. Learn how to talk with your children about drugs. Learn some stress management techniques. Learn more about your children’s Health & Well-Being. Pamper yourself with some Aromatherapy.
  • Family SEAL – (8 weeks x 2.5 hours) parents learn how to support their children’s behaviour for learning. Learn in a fun and relaxed way how to support your child's behaviour for learning, including getting in the right mood for learning, how to be motivated to learn, developing an 'I can' attitude, how to make friends and keep them, good social skills for teamwork, communication, problem solving and many others. (Adults with children joining for the last part of each session)
  • Family SEAL (4 weeks x 2.5 hours) As above, and the school can choose which aspects they want to include especially. (Adults with children joining for the last part of each session)
  • Family Cyberwise Workshop – (2 hours workshop) - an introduction to helping parents to keep themselves and their children safe online, including setting parental controls, and some very useful sites for parents. (Adults only or Families together)
  • Cyber Heroes (4 weeks x 2.5 hours) helping parents to keep themselves and their children safe online and using technology to develop other hobbies besides using the internet. (Adults and children join for the last part of each session)
  • Robots and Coding (4 weeks x 2.5 hours) – using Coding Apps to control robots and Lego – helping parents keep up with what their children learn in school. (Adults only or Families together)
  • Family Fortunes (4 weeks x 2.5 hours) - designed to build financial capability and support children and parents to develop positive money habits. (Adults only or Families together)
  • Family SEAL for Transition (6 weeks x 2.5 hours) Aimed at supporting parents and children to make a happy and successful transfer from Year 6 to secondary school. This can be delivered in the primary school but it is most successful if the secondary school can host it. Explore ways parents can support their anxious children or children with special educational needs – or any children who might find the move extra stressful for any reason. (Children and parents work together for the majority of the course.)

                  NG:She

                  NG:She provides learning opportunities mainly for women, with the aim of improving the quality of their lives by combating isolation, increasing self confidence, encouraging improved well being and enhancing life chances, including via volunteering and employment opportunities. We offer courses across Nottinghamshire including in Arnold, Beeston, Selston, and Carlton and also in Nottingham City Centre.

                  NG:She is able to offer specialist in class support on all of our courses to women who speak English as a second language and those who are survivors of domestic violence and abuse.

                  Reach Learning Disability

                  The provision is run from our 4 community-based centres in Mansfield, Newark, Southwell and Southwell Flower Pod and in residential/supported living centres across Nottinghamshire to enable adults with learning disabilities to gain the skills they need to make healthier lifestyle choices, experience how participating in creative therapeutic activities improves their sense of wellbeing, and progress towards gaining greater control over their own lives. 

                  Courses include Horticultural, Singing, Cookery, Sports, Dance, Pottery, Communication, Sit & Be Fit, Drama, Boccia, Fitness & Nutrition, Digital Learning Using Tablets and Pre-Employability.
