About this course

Papercraft and Collage will give you the opportunity to explore a range of papercraft techniques including collage. We will be focusing on using these techniques in different ways to build up compositions on paper and card, as well as learning how to create papercraft decorations. This course will teach you new ways of thinking and working with paper. 


Within the course you will be taught: 

- Using different materials to create decorative and patterned paper (painting, printing, drawing, collage.) 

- Using different glues and tapes for joining/sticking 

- Creating shapes for collage and papercraft (stencils, cutting, tearing) 

- Creating pictures with paper 

- Creating abstract art with paper 

- Using papercraft skills to create decorations, bunting and cards. 

By the end of the course, you will have explored and gained confidence in a range of experimental, creative techniques, produced some effective pieces and collages, and gained skills for future art and design work.  


Learners should bring:

  • A pencil and a rubber 
  • A4 Cartridge paper (The Works, The Range, Wilko, Hobbycraft, Amazon) 
  • Scissors 
  • Coloured card and paper in a variety of colours (The Works, The Range, Wilko, Hobbycraft, Amazon) 
  • Patterned paper - such as scrapbook or origami paper (The Works, The Range, Hobbycraft, Amazon) 
  • Pritt stick glue (Boyes, Wilko, The Works, The Range, Hobbycraft) 
  • Clear craft glue (Boyes, The Works, The Range, Hobbycraft, Amazon)

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
