Christmas Fun at Inspire Buttermarket as part of the Newark Light Switch On Event

Join the Inspire team on the beautiful mezzanine floor of the Buttermarket for an afternoon of FREE Christmas fun.  Meet the charming Betty Twinkle, an old Victorian Fairy, riding on the back of a magical giant Robin, who whistles classic Christmas songs whilst Betty works her magic with fairy dust, snow and chocolate gold coins.

Also visiting are the Story Explorers and their Christmas friends. Hear the tale of how they encountered the Blizzard Wizard, danced with the Northern Lights and tricked the sun -stealing trolls. Stroke their pet polar bear and feed fish to a curious seal!

Festive music will be provided by young people from an Inspire Music group performing at 2.15pm – 2.45pm - and they recently recorded their original material at the famous Abbey Road Studios. The Inspire Choir will be performing at 3.30pm until 4.00pm, prior to their performance at Nottingham Concert Hall on Monday, and a team of Victorian carol singers will add to the throng.

Come and make your own, bespoke Christmas decorations while finding out what courses Inspire have to offer in the coming year. All activities and entertainment is suitable for all ages and abilities – so come and join in the fun.
