Our libraries are the perfect place to enjoy time together as a family. Aside from our regular events like Rattle, Rhyme and Roll, Storyhullabaloo and Lego Clubs, there are tons of activities taking place during the half-term break.
All events are FREE and no booking required, unless otherwise stated. Have a browse below for a library near you, and come and take a peek at what's in store...

Rockpool Art
Join us during the May Half term to create your own rockpool scene using the materials provided. Will your rockpool have a starfish, shells or even a Hermit Crab?
This is a drop in event with no booking required. All ages welcome, under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Half Term fishy under 5's Storytime
Join us for a Fishy themed story and simple craft, specifically aimed at children under the age of 5. Older siblings are welcome to attend.

Jiggly Jellyfish and Woven Fish craft (drop in)
Join us during the May half term to make your own Jiggly Jelly Fish or a woven cardboard fish. All materials are provided.
This is a drop in event, with no booking required. The Jiggly Jelly Fish are suitable for all ages, the woven fish are a little bit more fiddly.
Children under age 8 must be accompanied by a adult.

Retford Library is ready to 'shellebrate' World Turtle Day by doing this stunning stain glass shell craft!
Decorate your turtle and create a beautiful metallic foil finish to your turtle shells.
