We're always looking to improve your experience. Please send us your feedback.
The ELS mobile library is a great way to help promote reading for pleasure in your school. It stocks a wide range of fiction and non-fiction leisure reading for 3-11 year olds. It also contains books suited to older readers in Special Schools.
Visits can last from 1 hour to a full day.
The mobile library is accessible to children and young people with mobility issues as it has a lift.
All books borrowed from the mobile are part of a school’s overall loan collection allowance.
An ELS mobile visit encourages pupils to engage in reading by choosing their own books from a stock of 2,500 titles.
Children and young people who would not normally access libraries in their spare time are able to enjoy a quality library experience for themselves.
“Children who love reading will read more and, over time, choose literature which is more demanding and suitably stretching.” Reading: the next steps, DfE, March 2015
The ELS mobile can be
booked to visit any Primary, Special School or Day Nursery throughout
Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City.
To arrange a visit please email ELS at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone on 0115 804 4499.
ELS mobile visits are an additional service offered to customers who purchase an allowance of books. All books borrowed from the mobile are therefore part of a school’s overall loan collection. Costs for mobile visits are shown below.
If you would like a mobile visit and you are not already an ELS customer, please contact us.
