The idea is to give as many children as possible a free introduction to a musical instrument in school.

The Inspire Music: Teaching team have various instrument packages available depending on the age of the class taking part.

The weekly lessons are fun and practical, building on pupils’ musical skills. Each child has their own instrument and they are taught as a whole class. No practice is expected. Participating schools have seen improvements in pupil behaviour and attendance.

Lessons can be delivered either as part of a reduced price year-long programme or as a free term package.

Participating schools on a year long package get free access to Charanga Musical School digital resources with a wide range of interactive learning materials. Lessons and activities can be loaded on to the school’s virtual learning environment.
