About this course

This short 3-week online course is designed to build on the skills learnt on the Excel for Work: Basics course helping you to understand and develop your knowledge of Excel to improve your employability. 

If you have not attended the Basics course, you can still enrol, however it would be beneficial if you have existing knowledge of Excel navigation to gain the full benefit of the course.

Taking place online and in the evening- it will fit around your current work commitments.

Course Content

  • Conditional formatting
  • Formulas: min/max and IF 
  • Filtering and sorting techniques and their uses
  • Creating a range of charts

By then end of this course, you will be able to use a range of formulas, filter and sort for a purpose and create the appropriate chart.

Who is it suitable for?

  • Learners on this intermediate level course should already be familiar with using Microsoft Excel and have access to this app on their device.
  • As the course is online Learners will need access to the internet and be able to connect to Zoom.
  • Learners will also need an active email account as resources will be emailed throughout the course.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking.  If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
