This course is suitable for those with no previous experience, starting with the absolute basics of -

- String names

- Playing ‘open’ strings

- Learning about and playing to the beat / pulse

- Fretting notes

- Leaning about and playing very simple melodies

- Learning and playing chord shapes

- Playing to online video mini songs & exercises complete with backing tracks (large screen provided in the library meeting room)

- Beginner strumming / rhythm guitar playing exercises using the above chord knowledge

Learners will have access, from home, to all the online resources used on the course, for practicing

Learners will need access to a guitar - these can be loaned from Inspire Music for a small fee.  Please call 0115 977 3287 for more information.
