No idea how to support your child with their maths homework?
Have the the maths strategies used in school become a mystery?
If so, join our course designed for parents wanting to increase their numeracy skills in
order to help their children and help with their own progression.
The course is delivered by our friendly tutors in a relaxed environment with other like-minded learners. You will gain practical ideas and hands-on maths ideas.
By the end of the course, you will be able to,
- use a range of addition and multiplication strategies
- build confidence with multiplication and division calculations
- develop your mental maths
- understand how to break down maths word problems to know what ‘maths’ to use
- access online resources and games you and your child can play at home
On completion of this course, you may like to consider enrolling on the Functional Skills Maths (level 2) course. Having a Level 2 (GCSE C or above) is a great asset on your CV and could widen your job opportunities.
This course is for people who don’t already have a level 2 qualification in maths (GCSE C/4 or above) or do but are not confident in using maths at this level.
This is an adult only course.
