The course guides you through the process of creating an expressive composition in ink. Using different tools and ink you can access an amazing variety of styles and techniques creating freedom in your drawing. The course will encourage participation, experimentation and reflection, whilst exploring the expression of self. The course is suitable for beginners.
You will be guided step-by-step to build your skills and confidence, focusing on subjects like composition and mark-making using rhythm, repetition and intuition:
- Select appropriate photo references
- Analyse examples of ink drawings in the work of different artists
- Create and use different tools to create mark-making
- Pencil and ink sketching
- Experimenting using ink – mark-making
- Drawing & ink techniques
Acrylic paper/sketch pad, a range of synthetic paint brushes, graphite pencils, baby wipes, cotton rags ink (acrylic inks), pen, pen nibs, graphite pencils, photo reference
The art materials are to be discussed during the first session of the course when the tutor will cover the topic.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
