About this course

Pencil Drawing is an introduction to different ways of creating a drawn image.

No previous experience is necessary as we will start with the basics!

We will be experimenting with different ways of using graphite and colour pencils to make marks, textures and colours and applying these skills to produce observational drawings from a range of subject matter.

You will learn how to use different drawing techniques through looking at and discussing the diverse approaches to drawing of other historical and contemporary artists and by demonstrations, personal experimentation and individual tuition.

By the end of the course everyone will have explored and gained confidence with a range of pencil drawing techniques and media and produced finished creative drawings.
