What will be covered on the course?
How to do a variety of crochet stitches using crochet hooks and yarns/wools, how to create Poppies, and a combination of different patterns creating different size angels, Christmas tree, wreaths, gingerbread men, by combining stitches to create different designs for different occasions – Christmas – birthdays – anniversaries etc. An Understanding of the different terminology used for English and American Crochet stitches and the Crochet Hook Size Conversion for Metric, US & UK. Learners must have some skills in performing crochet stitches, this is not a beginner’s course
What will be taught to learners?
For learners to work towards creating a variety of crochet stitches using crochet hooks and yarns/wools. Producing Poppies, and a combination of different patterns creating different size angels, Christmas tree, wreaths, gingerbread men and different sized snowflakes, all can be used to decorate your tree or room, or use for creating cards to tags and presents, the list is endless. To understand the different terminology used for English and American Crochet stitches and the Crochet Hook Size Conversion for Metric, US & UK.
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
By the end of the course learners will show secure knowledge of how to perform a variety of stitches in different ways. Learners will have created their own designs, such as a Poppies, and a combination of different patterns creating different size angels, Christmas tree, wreaths, gingerbread men. An Understanding of the different terminology used for English and American Crochet stitches and the Crochet Hook Size Conversion for Metric, US & UK.
What resources do I need?
A drink – water or juice, notebook and pen, laptop with internet on, email open, crochet hooks size either 4-4.5 or 5 and different colours and types of yarn/wool.
Instructions for Attendees
As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.
