About this course

Painting in black and white is great, because it makes you concentrate on elements such as composition, value, lighting and form. Using acrylic paint and ink you can access an amazing variety of styles and techniques creating freedom in your painting. Build your skills and confidence by focusing on subjects like composition and mark-making using rhythm, repetition and intuition. The course will encourage participation, experimentation and reflection, whilst exploring the expression of self.

  • Working out innovative, dynamic compositions in ink washes
  • Using dynamic and bold mark making
  • Drawing & pen painting techniques

You will need:

  • A3 acrylic paper pads,  white acrylic  gesso, palette, spray bottle, a range of synthetic paint brushes, sponge brushes, metallic palette knife,  silicone spatula, Titanium  and Zinc white acrylic paint ; Ivory and Mars black acrylic paint
