About this course

This course is a day course is about enjoying learning about and using your camera. It is designed to be a fun light-hearted day whilst creating some great photographs using inexpensive small projects. This course assumes learners have no previous experience of photography.  


The day course will cover; 

  • Mobile cameras, finding and using settings to improve their photographs. 
  • A basic knowledge of to use aperture, shutter speed and ISO to improve your photography skills. 
  • Photography using coloured lights and filters. Connecting to a selfie stick using Bluetooth. 
  • Exploring; Basic Portrait photography 
  • Shadows and reflections 
  • Movement and intentional camera movement. 
  • How to use and upload images to Padlet.  

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?  

  • Learners will be able to use their camera to photograph small creative projects which they can reproduce at home using simple ingredients and household equipment.  
  • Learners will have a range of photographs to show the skills that they have learned. 

 No previous knowledge required.


Resources to bring to this course:

  • A smartphone with a camera or a camera. A tripod if they have one or want to bring it.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
