A drawing competition celebrating 2025 Summer Reading Challenge:  Story Garden, for children aged 4-11.  Sponsored by arcpartnership.  

Terms and Conditions

The Competition

  • The competition is organised and administered by Inspire:  Culture, Learning and Libraries as the promoter.
    Inspire is the trading name of Culture, Learning and Libraries (Midlands), a Community Benefit Society registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. 
  • The title of the competition is Design your Dream Treehouse.
  • The task is to design and draw a treehouse that would fit into a Story Garden in celebration of the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge.

Eligibility

  • The competition is only open to children aged 4 – 11 who live in, or attend school,  in the county of Nottinghamshire  except members of Inspire staff teams directly involved in promoting the competition and their immediate families.
  • All entrants must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to take part.  We cannot accept entries that do not include this permission and contact details.

Entry Requirements

  • All drawings must be the original work of the child.
  • Only one entry per child is allowed.
  • Entries can be submitted as physical artwork or digitally via webform by 31 August 2025.
  • Entries must include the child’s name, age, postcode, school plus parent/guardian’s contact details and permission to enter with the entry.
  • The promoter (Inspire:  Culture Learning and Libraries) will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit regardless of cause.
  • We are unable to return submitted artwork.

Submission Format

Judging and Prizes

  • Entries will be judged by panel of judges, of Inspire and arcpartnership staff based on creativity, originality, and effort.
  • One winner will be selected from each age group 4 – 7 and 8 – 11.
  • Prize bundle will include a LEGO set, art supplies and a £50 shopping voucher. Children attending a school in Nottinghamshire County Council area will also be awarded £100 of books for their school.
  • Prizes have been kindly funded through sponsorship from arcpartnership.
  • Prizes are not transferable, cannot be re-sold and no cash alternative will be offered.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to replace a prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.
  • The decision of the Marketing and Communications Manager is final in all matters relating to a competition.
  • No correspondence will be entered into on any matters arising from the competition.

Announcement of Winners

  • Winners will be contacted as soon as practicable after the judging panel agrees the winners, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry.  This is intended to be before 30 September.
  • Failure to claim the prize within the given timeframe will make any claim invalid and Inspire may re-allocate the prize.

Use of Artwork

  • By entering, participants agree that their artwork may be shared on our website and social media.
  • Children will keep the copyright of their artwork.
  • Parental permission will be requested before any child’s name or photograph is published.

Data Protection

  • We will collect only the minimum personal information necessary to run the competition and confirm eligibility. 
  • This information will not be shared with third parties or used for marketing.
  • All data will be securely stored and deleted after the competition ends.
