Stories from Blidworth Memory Group

Storyteller Beccy Dye worked with Blidworth Memory Group, to tell stories about things they care about. These shared moments came together in the creation of a crankie theatre.

The Crankie Theatre

Crankie theatres are old forms of storytelling that use scrolling images usually accompanied by a story. In this case, the crankie theatre is in the shape of a house. Each room of the house possesses at least one memory or story. Turning the crank mechanisms will revolve these tales across more than one room.

Not everyone in the group wanted to draw a crankie scroll, but everyone contributed.
