Welcome to the Nottinghamshire Music Education Hub, part of Inspire Culture, Learning and Libraries!
We’re a music education partnership funded by Arts Council England, working to develop exciting music-making opportunities for children and young people aged 5 to 18 years in Nottinghamshire.
Our website provides children and young people, their parents and music teachers with information on how to learn to sing and play a musical instrument, how to join a music group or take part in a music project in and out of school. The Hub covers all kinds of music from acoustic to beatbox to classical and beyond.
The Hub is led by Inspire’s Music Services Manager. Our delivery partnerships include:
- Inspire Music: Teaching – providing instrumental music and vocal teaching in Nottinghamshire maintained schools;
- Inspire Youth Arts – our fantastic Mansfield based colleagues create exciting and diverse music making opportunities for young people aged 7 to 25 years, including in SEND settings, and specific projects for children and young people who face difficult circumstances.
We are delighted to be working with schools and partner organisations to deliver our vision for children and young people in Nottinghamshire:
- We want all children and young people in Nottinghamshire aged 5 to 18 years to access high quality learning opportunities in music which are relevant to their own musical interests.
- We want all children and young people to join in a wide range of music groups and progress to their own level of musical excellence.
